Welcome to the GEMaviation.com Blog site www.buysellaircraftparts.blogspot.com
www.GEMaviation.com is the most powerful online marketplace for buyers and sellers of aviation parts and equipment. Whether you are a aviation buyer looking for a quote or a aviation vender seller looking for an up to the minute price, GEMaviation.com is the fastest, easiest and most secure way to complete your aviation marketplace transaction.,
We wanted to take the opportunity to welcome you to www.gemaviation.com and thank you for being a member. We at the GEM Aviation marketplace want to wish you every success using our services and let you know there is help at hand if you need it. To get you started we want to take 3 minutes of your time to give you an idea of what to expect when you first log into www.gemaviaton.com:
Upon entering our marketplace, you will be taken to the TRADING POST where our members list specific “Parts Wanted or Parts for Sale”. Listings that are posted here are parts or needs that a member wants to highlight to our membership. Shortly, you will begin to receive our “Parts Wanted, Parts For Sale” emails which are sent to all GEM members with the most recent Trading Post listings- giving your listings direct exposure to thousands of our members.
What do you do when you find a listing on the Trading Post that interests you and you want to contact the member who posted that listing?
Click on the view details link to see the listing details. From here, under the actions palette you can choose to send a RFQ or Offer to the member posting the listing.
What happens if you don’t have time to browse the Trading Post or you want to do a quick parts search?
You can search for material listed in our database by going to the PART SEARCH- where we have billions of parts listed by our members. Type in the part number you are looking for and click the view details link to see the details. From here you can send the Vendor for that part a RFQ or Offer by selecting the check box and clicking Create RFQ or Make Offer at the bottom of the page. If you see many vendors with the part you are looking for then select the check box for each vendor you want to include in your RFQ or Offer and send it to multiple vendors at one time.
So what happens after you send a RFQ to vendor(s) from the Trading Post or Parts search?
The vendor(s) are sent an email notification and your RFQ is placed under the VENDOR QUOTES tab where you can monitor the quote activity being received from the RFQ’s you created.
What if you sent an offer to a vendor(s) from the Trading Post or Parts search?
The vendor(s) are sent an email notification of your offer and your offer is placed under the BUYING tab where you can monitor the purchase offer responses. This purchase offer functionality is unique to the GEM marketplace because as a buyer you can conduct ongoing negotiations with multiple vendors simultaneously and get the most competitive pricing available without endless and repetitive communications with multiple sources.
So what if you are selling?
First, if you have not sent in your inventory yet, contact sales@gemaviation.com to have your inventory uploaded. We are currently running a 6 month free promotion for ALL inventory listing services. Next, take the time to load any parts that you want to highlight into the Trading Post so that they will be included in our next “Parts Wanted, Parts For Sale” emails sent to ALL our members- It’s simple, just click on the Trading Post tab and click the Add New Listing link at the top of the page and follow the easy steps. You can even upload pictures!
Now your inventory is uploaded and you have received your first RFQ notification- what do you do?
Log in to www.GEMaviation.com and go to the CURTOMER QUOTES tab where you can answer RFQ’s and monitor all your sales quotes.
What if your notification is for a Purchase Offer?
Log in to www.GEMaviation.com and go to the SELLING tab where you can respond to purchase offers and monitor all your sales activities.
Last but not least, we have the Message Board- please go here to get the word out about your special offers, projects, etc.- Communicate your important news to our aviation Membership. And like the parts you highlight in the Trading Post, Message Board postings are sent to ALL GEM members in the “Parts Wanted, Parts For Sale” emails.
If you have any more specific questions about how things work, please refer to the Frequently Ask Questions (FAQs) tab once you are logged in at www.gemaviation.com or please send us an email directly at sales@gemaviation.com
